Zombie Squirts is an illustrated book for kids with a powerful message about anti-bullying paired up with Gothesque Jr. for a super fun anti-bullying campaign/contest where kids created a Zombie Squirts character. They were allowed to send in illustrations and even characters created with makeup!
These are the top 4 entries for this contest and hope to jump-start conversations about bullying and ways to prevent it! Anti-bullying is a topic near and dear to the Gothesque Jr. hearts as we strive to help young artistic talent flourish!
Zombie Squirts
Artist Leah, age 12
Leah is a bright, strong, independent young lady who is a cheerleader, honor roll student, member of the student council and part mermaid. She always stands up for what she believes in and still gives 100% to activities and causes she is passionate about. Leah loves the Zombie Squirts, and their message as Leah herself continually stands up for others who are being bullied. Her determination and values make her special.
Artist Baily, age 14
Baily is a talented artist through hair, makeup, painting, and her voice. She is always creating new looks with hair and makeup and her own style. Someday she wants to make her passion a career. Baily has a huge heart for animals, people that are viewed as different and often sympathetic for the underdog. Her heart is what makes her special.
Zombie Squirts
Artist Hallowe, age 12
Hallowe is a creative-minded 7th grader. She has a passion for dance and art including, photography and drawing. She’s been published with Gothesque Jr as both a photographer and model.
Artist Hanna Reid, age 11
Hannah resides in North Carolina. When she’s not navigating the halls of middle school, she can be found reading, drawing, or writing not necessarily in that order. Emma Jones is a self-portrait.
